I am, first and foremost, a mother of two. I have been working in healthcare in some capacity for nine years - I started as an EMT, then a paramedic, then a tech on a med-surg floor, and now an office manager for an extremely busy family practice. I am also working on a Ph.D. in Public Health, emphasis in Epidemiology. At present, I see myself focusing my research and future work on lung cancer, having lost my grandfather to the disease in 2021. I am also interested in polycystic ovary syndrome as well as new and developing diseases and conditions. Ultimately, I just want to make a real impression, a real difference. Having saved lives in emergency medicine, I want to change lives now.
