Darleen Barnard

Darleen Barnard has a Doctorate in Health Administration and has worked in the health care field for over 20 years. Darleen is also the owner of Fit4Health. She is a Certified Health Coach and a Certified Personal Trainer and specializes in behavior change to achieve weight loss. Her passion and mission is to improve the health of busy working adults with effective behavior change and weight loss strategies that are customized for work-life balance.

She is currently a Lead Faculty member at Capella University and teaches leadership and coaching at both the graduate and undergraduate level. She supervises doctoral research projects that contribute to the field of health administration and is responsible for curriculum development for the Bachelors of Science Health Care Administration program. She is also approved by the National Academy of Sports Medicine to teach her health coaching techniques to other health professionals.

After working in the health care industry where she saw the effects of stress, unhealthy diets, and lack of exercise on patient health, she decided to follow her passion in Health and Wellness. In addition to teaching coaching and leadership at Capella University, Darleen works with clients all over the world from the United States, Canada, Europe, Australia, and New Zealand. She helps busy, working professionals have more energy, strength, confidence, and focus by learning how to make small, healthy changes and to find balance in their very busy lives. She helps clients improve their overall health and wellness with nutrition, exercise, and a positive mindset. She also works with other healthcare professionals to implement these same strategies in their health and wellness businesses.

She has extensive experience in behavior change techniques to find the best approaches to help people change. By working on daily habits, subconscious beliefs, and positive psychology, she has successfully helped thousands of people achieve their goals.
